Komal Kumar was part of big films, where his acting and comedic timing always stood out. Over time, he became a lead hero, but it was riddled with obstacles. When his first film as a lead actor in Military Mava failed at the box office miserably, he lost interest in acting. However, with his brother’s encouragement, he kept working. While at first, he could not connect with the audience, it was the release of Thavarige Baa Thangi in 2002 that finally earned him the appreciation he deserved. Now, the times have changed and people are rewatching his old films. During this phase, the actor revealed that his daughter gave him a piece of advice which worked out great for him.
Kannada star Komal Kumar’s daughter suggested for him to participate in a TV show. In an interview, he revealed that his daughter said, “Dad, people are watching your films on Telegram (app), it is not helping you at all. If you come on a TV show, your reach will increase.” Taking her advice to the heart, he joined the show Gicchi Giligili as a judge and the response to the show has been great.
It is not the only advice of his daughter that he is following. If you have watched the show carefully, you would have noticed the star looking dapper in his good-fitted clothes. However, as per the actor, his daughter shares dressing tips. She has advised, “Wherever you go, you need a proper dress code, Dad.” Hence, Komal can be seen wearing unique outfits- be it on reality shows or public appearances.
On the work front, Komal Kumar is busy promoting his upcoming film, Kona. It is directed by Harikrishna S.
