Forty days have passed since Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5 began, and the show is becoming more captivating as the game progresses. Contestants are engaging in fun activities, quarrels, and arguments. In the sixth week, TikTok star Suraj Chavan emerged as the house captain. The entire house supported his captaincy, electing him by majority after he excelled in a challenging task. Suraj, visibly happy with his new role, received praise from everyone in the house. He humbly credited his success to Ganpati Bappa. Before entering the captaincy room, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “Ganpati Bappa, I became captain because of you. You are my elder brother,” and joined his hands in reverence.
Suraj Chavan hails from a small village in Maharashtra’s Baramati district. After losing his parents in childhood, he was raised by his sister. Despite facing hardships and people taking advantage of his naivety, Suraj remained resilient and determined to lead a diligent life. He became a devoted follower of Lord Ganesha, whom he considers his deity. Suraj, the eighth child born after seven sisters, has no elder brother, so he regards Ganapati Bappa as his elder brother, finding strength and guidance in his faith.
There was a time in Suraj’s life when he needed money to bring home an idol of Lord Ganapati, but despite his efforts, no one helped him financially. Suraj’s unwavering faith in the Lord kept him going. He managed to earn the money by bargaining and successfully brought the idol home. Suraj celebrates Ganeshotsav with great enthusiasm every year, and each year, he finds a unique way to honour the festival, making it a special occasion in his life.
Recently Suraj was also seen engaging in a fun banter with Ghanshyam about the former’s marriage. Ghamshyam was jokingly pressurising Suraj to get married, saying the entire house wanted a sister-in-law.
