Directed by Jeethu Joseph, 'Memories' is the story of a drunkard policeman, played by Prithviraj, who is forced to investigate a series of murders.

Chennai: Director Arivazhagan will helm the yet-untitled Tamil remake of 2013 Malayalam hit 'Memories'. The project, starring Arulnithi in the lead role, will go on the floors in October.

"My film will be the official remake of 'Memories'. I'll be adapting it in my own style for Tamil audiences without losing the soul of the original," Arivazhagan told IANS.

The film will be produced by Thenandal Films, the production house behind recent Tamil blockbusters such as 'Kanchana 2' and 'Bahubali'.

Arivazhagan said he's in the process of finalising the heroine and the rest of the cast and crew.
