Bigg Boss 18 is set to light up screens starting October 6, 2024, and fans are already buzzing with excitement over the first confirmed contestant. One of the top actresses of the 90s, known for working with some of Bollywood’s biggest names, including Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan, is ready to enter Salman Khan’s house of chaos. She’s none other than Shilpa Shirodkar, Mahesh Babu’s sister-in-law and a former sensation of the Hindi film industry.
In a recently released promo, Shilpa Shirodkar teased her appearance on the show with a confident statement: “I was unconventional. I was bold. Log mujhe 90’s ki sensational queen bulate the. Maine sabhi bade heroes ke saath kaam kiya hai—Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Govinda, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan. Sirf ek sapna tha, Salman Khan ke saath kaam karne ka, aur woh sapna bhi ab pura ho raha hai.” (I was the 90’s sensational queen. I’ve worked with Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Govinda, Akshay Kumar, and Shah Rukh Khan. My only dream was to work with Salman Khan, and now it’s becoming reality.)
The makers of Bigg Boss 18 shared the promo with the caption, “Jisne dekha tha ek dream, woh aa rahi hai usse poora karne in Bigg Boss 18. Dekhiye #BiggBoss18, Grand Premier 6 October raat 9 baje, sirf #Colors aur @officialjiocinema par.” Fans quickly picked up on the hints, and many, including popular TV star Anita Hassanandani, expressed their excitement. Anita commented, “@shilpashirodkar73 Yaaaaaay! I’m already glued to the TV. Kill it.”
Shilpa, the sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar (who is married to South superstar Mahesh Babu), is expected to bring her charisma and experience to the Bigg Boss house, adding a nostalgic twist to this season’s lineup.
