Manchester: Manchester United has completed the signing of Shinji Kagawa after the Japan playmaker passed a medical and obtained a work permit. United agreed terms with Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of the month for Kagawa, who has signed a four-year deal.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said on Friday that "I believe he will make an impact upon the team very quickly as he is suited to United's style of play."
Kagawa joined Dortmund in 2010 from Japanese side Osaka. In his two seasons in the Bundesliga, he scored 21 goals in 49 appearances. He played a key part in helping Dortmund win the Bundesliga and German Cup double last season.
Kagawa says "I can't wait to meet the team and to start playing."
