5-year-old elephant dies in Rajaji National Park

A 5-year-old elephant died near the Ramgarh range of Rajaji National Park in Dehradun during a fight between the elephants, officials said.

The pachyderm's body was found by the forest officials during daily patrolling. They then informed the senior officials, they said.

The deep marks on elephant's body suggests that it was injured during a fight with another elephant.

Postmortem report also suggests death due to severe injuries, they added.  The elephant died two almost days ago, officials said.
