Actress Manorama and her former husband S M Ramanathan shared a son named Bhoopathy, whose childhood images are now gaining attention online.

The late legendary South actress, Manorama is remembered for her work in numerous films in South cinema. She is regarded as one of the most prominent personalities in the South Indian film industry. As per the latest updates, some old images of the actress are making rounds on the internet, where she is with her only son, Bhupathi.

Actress Manorama won the hearts of the masses with her acting prowess, giving realistic performances in her work. In 1954, she married a member of the troupe she worked in, S M Ramanathan. The couple had a son named Bhoopathy, born in 1955. Photos of the actress with her son, taken during his childhood, are making rounds among the fans.

In the now-viral images, the actress is seen carrying her son, standing with her family members. While the second photo appears to be taken even earlier, as her son is in his infancy days. It shows the actress radiating happiness, who is seen with her family in the click.

Manorama is an acclaimed and illustrious figure in South Indian cinema, who starred in more than a thousand films in her career and appeared in around five thousand stage plays. In 2002, she became the recipient of the Padma Shri, awarded to her by the government of India, for her contribution to cinema. Before that, she won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the 1989 film Pudhiya Padhai. In 1995, she was awarded with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South.

The veteran actress was last seen in the Malayalam film Seetha Kalyanam, in a supporting role, released in 2009. It was helmed by T K Rajeev Kumar and starred Jayaram, Jyothika, Indrajith Sukumaran and Geethu Mohandas in important roles. Revathy Kalamandir produced the film, while the music was given by Sreenivas. It is the actress’s last release before her death. Manorama passed away in 2015, aged 78, due to multiple organ failure.
