Shiv Sena boycotted the swearing-in ceremony over Prabhu's appointment to the Modi cabinet. Sources said that the party was also unwilling to accept Minister of State rank for its nominee Anil Desai.

Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray even called Desai back from the airport and skipped the ceremony.

Sena leaders will hold a meeting in Sena Bhawan on Sunday evening after which party Uddhav Thackeray will hold a press conference to announce the decision.

According to the sources, Prabhu is likely to get Railway Ministry and he will be nominated to Rajya Sabha by BJP.

Prabhu, the 61-year-old banker-politician from coastal Konkan was in good books of the Modi regime and it became evident after he was appointed head of a government panel on power revamp called Advisory Group for Integrated Development of Power, Coal and Renewable Energy.

Prabhu was also appointed as Modi's 'sherpa' to assist the Prime Minister at the upcoming G20 summit in Brisbane.
