New Delhi: Police custody of both the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Dhananjay Singh and his wife Jagriti Singh will end on Monday. The two were arrested last week in connection with the assault and murder of their 35-year-old domestic help Rakhi Bhadra.

Jagriti has been charged with murder of her domestic help while her husband BSP MP has been charged with abatement to murder and destruction of evidence.

Rakhi's body, with several injury marks on her legs, chest and arms, was recovered from Singh's South Avenue residence last week. The minor domestic help had told police that Jagriti used to regularly beat them up.

The domestic helps were allegedly tortured and thrashed by Jagriti with sticks, iron rods, clothes iron and even metallic deer horns.
