Mohammed Siraj was hit on the throat by the ball while attempting a catch which he eventually dropped during a world cup 2023 match between India and the Netherlands in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Siraj could be seen massaging his throat quickly after the failed attempt at the catch off the bowling of Kuldeep Yadav before being attended to by the team physio.
The right-arm pacer went off the field and later visuals showed him sitting on the boundary as he underwent the vision-tracking test which is part of concussion test protocol.
