The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority’s (MHADA) Pune lottery 2023 has recorded over 73,000 applications for 5,863 affordable homes in the range of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 1.11 crore, according to the latest data. The results of the lottery, the applications for which closed on October 30, will be announced on November 24.
The Pune board announced the lottery on September 6 for selling 5,863 affordable homes in Pune, Solapur, Sangli, and Kolhapur. Out of these 5,863 homes, 2,445 will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We had received earnest money deposit (EMD) from over 51,000 homebuyers out of the total 73,000 applicants, as of October. This number is expected to have increased as the last date for payment of EMD was October 31. The results will be announced on November 24,” a MHADA official said, according to a Moneycontrol report.
In the lottery, the size of an apartment varies from 204 sqft to 1,087 sqft carpet area. They are available in the configuration of 1 RK, 1 BHK, 2 BHK and 3 BHK.
The costliest apartment is a 3 BHK worth Rs 1.11 crore in the Sant Tukaram Nagar area of Pimpri in Pune district. The carpet area of the apartment is 882 sq ft, according to the list uploaded by MHADA on its website.
The cheapest apartment, measuring around 312 sq ft carpet, is worth Rs 5 lakh in Kagal, a town in Kolhapur district.
