Korean actor Song Kang expressed gratitude and thanked his team as well as all viewers at the recent press conference for Sweet Home 2. The event organised just before the release of the second season of the much-awaited Zombie-thriller Korean Drama, Sweet Home, was held on November 30 at S Factory D-dong, Seongdong, Seoul. Kang, who plays the lead role of Cha Hyun Soo, shared some heartfelt thoughts on the occasion while expressing his happiness for the success and popularity of Season 1 of the Netflix original series, which hit our screens back in 2020.
The event was reportedly attended by stars of the show Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Go Min Si, Jin Young, Yoo Oh Sung, Kim Moo Yeol, and director Lee Eung Bok.
Taking a trip down memory lane, Song Kang, who plays Cha Hyun Soo, remembered about the good old days during the shooting of Season 1. He gave a shout out to the fans, acknowledging that their support and the show’s top-ranking status at the time were like a boost of energy for the entire team. The actor didn’t stop there; he reportedly opened up about how Sweet Home has played a significant role in his own growth. It’s not just a job for him; it’s a project that has shaped him into the person he is today. In preparation for Season 2, he took a deep dive into introspection, keeping a diary about Hyun Soo’s character in which he jotted down thoughts to understand the character better.

In case you’re wondering where all this drama stems from, Sweet Home is adapted from a Naver Webtoon by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young Chan. Season 1, which dropped on Netflix on December 18, 2020, revolved around Cha Hyun Soo facing monsters in his apartment building after a fatal family tragedy.
Now, Season 2 takes us on a wild ride as the residents of Green Home Apartments, led by Cha Hyun Soo, face not just external threats but also internal ones. Survivors, from different walks of life, are not only battling monsters outside but also dealing with monstrous desires within their own group.
Season 2, exploring new desires and challenges, is hitting our screens on December 1st.
