Gautami Patil is one of the most popular folk dancers in Maharashtra. She is known for her Lavani dance and has a massive fan following among the masses. People from all age groups come to see her exceptional dancing skills. The folk dancer is often in the news for being involved in various controversies as well. Even though many people have protested against her, the actress enjoys a great social media presence as well. Now, it has been found that the famous Lavani dancer will be making its debut on the silver screen as well.

The dance is currently making headlines for her acting debut with the upcoming film Ghungroo. The film is directed by Baba Gaikwad. Recently, the makers of the film revealed the poster and release date of the film.

According to reports, an event was organised by the makers in Pandharpur in Solapur district, Maharashtra. During the event, the director and producer of the film launched the poster and release date. The film will be released on December 15 and it will hit 100 theatres in the state. Also, in the poster, Gautami can be seen sitting in her Lavani attire. This will be Gautami’s first film as an actress.

Gautami will be touring various cities in Maharashtra starting on December 6 to promote the film. As per reports, the film is based on the lives of artists and showcases the importance of women artists who dance in folk art centres, tamasha, and stage shows. It has also been reported that the film will also have a love story. Talking about the fil, Gautami said, “Maja Ghungroo is coming. This movie is based on the artist’s life. Everyone should watch this movie rather than hear me talk more about it. It is a very nice film.”

The film has been shot in different locations in six states, including Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, and Andhra Pradesh. Baba Gaikwad also informed us that this film will be made in six different languages.
