Amitabh Bachchan shared a cryptic note after it was reported that Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has filed a complaint against him and Flipkart for their new ad. On Wednesday morning, it was reported that a complaint was filed against the superstar and the platform for their ‘misleading’ claims. Following the news, Big B took to his blog and X account (previously known as Twitter) and shared a cryptic statement suggesting that he has a lot to say but all in good time.
“Late again but at work now and shall catch up soon in the break .. till then my love and regard .. until you hit back, no one listens .. just an ambient thought .. more on this in a while .. it is something that some Ef have expressed and corrective measures have been initiated lets see if they are executed,” he wrote. On X, he added, “T 4787 – coming soon to explain lots.”
Earlier in the day, PTI reported that the traders’ body CAIT filed a complaint with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs against a Flipkart advertisement featuring Amitabh on the upcoming Big Billion Days sale. They termed the advertisement ‘misleading.’ In its complaint to the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), CAIT said the advertisement is ‘misleading’ and is against the country’s small retailers. It has also sought withdrawal of the advertisement. CAIT also demanded that a penalty be imposed on Flipkart as per relevant provisions of the Consumer Protection Act for “false or misleading advertisement” and imposition of a Rs 10 lakh fine on Bachchan.
Meanhwile, Amitabh has been busy with Kaun Banega Crorepati and his upcoming movies. The actor has a number of movies in the making. These include Ganapath with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in the lead, Kalki 2898 AD, with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, and The Intern remake with Deepika. It was also recently announced that Big B will be joining Rajinikanth for Thalaivar 170.
