When Hrithik Roshan’s Closeness With Co-star Barbara Mori Reportedly Caused Trouble In His Marriage

Bollywood celebrities often make headlines for their rumoured linkups with their co-stars in films. Sometimes, these linkups unfold into a beautiful love story. At other times, they may have poor consequences, especially when it’s an extramarital affair. One Bollywood couple ended up getting divorced after staying together for 17 years. The reason behind their separation was allegedly an actress, who was reported to be dating the married star while they were working in a film together. We are talking about Bollywood’s former adored couple, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan. Their beautiful union later culminated in a divorce. Just a week before their 13th wedding anniversary, on December 13, 2013, Hrithik broke the news of separation from his ex-wife with a statement that read, “Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship. This is a very trying time for the entire family.”

One year after the separation, on the morning of November 1, 2014, Hrithik and Sussanne’s divorce was finalised in the family court in Mumbai.

Before the announcement of their separation, Sussanne Khan reportedly had moved out of their house with their children and started living with her parents. This led people to speculate Hrithik Roshan’s alleged affair with one of her co-stars was the reason behind his divorce from his wife.

Hrithik was speculated to have been dating Mexican beauty Barbara Mori and the rumours had picked up more mileage after their sizzling chemistry in the film, Kites (2010). It was reported that Hrithik and Barbara’s closeness on the sets ended up hurting his then-wife, Sussanne Khan followed by which she had left Roshan house and had started living with her parents. On the other hand, Sussanne’s growing closeness with her friend, Arjun Rampal was also considered one of the reasons for her split with Hrithik.

Interestingly, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan’s separation is claimed to be one of the most expensive divorces. As per the reports, Sussanne had asked for Rs 400 crore as alimony at the time of divorce but Hrithik agreed to give Rs 380 crore in settlement. The actor broke his silence on the matter and refuted the claims saying it is “rubbish.”

Currently, Hrithik Roshan is in a romantic relationship with singer-actress Saba Azad, whereas Sussanne has also moved on with her boyfriend Arslan Goni.
