Telugu TV star Chandrakanth, aka, Chandu, committed suicide at his home in Alkapur, Telangana, leaving the Telugu industry in a state of shock.

On Sunday, May 12, in Hyderabad, Kannada actress Pavitra Jayaram lost her life in a tragic and fateful road accident, when a bus collided with her car. As per reports, she was accompanied by her sister Apeksha, driver Srikant and also her rumoured partner Chandrakanth, who was grieving and mourning her loss by paying tributes to her. However, following the untimely demise of the actress, Chandrakanth died by suicide. Now, recently, Pavitra Jayaram’s son has spoken up about the relationship between the two.

Telugu TV star Chandrakanth, aka, Chandu, died by suicide at his home in Alkapur, Telangana, leaving the industry in a state of shock. As per a statement given to the police by Chandu’s father, the actor was battling depression. Amid this, rumours surfaced on the internet claiming that Chandrakanth and Pavitra Jayaram had been in a relationship for the last five years and were about to tie the knot. His last Instagram post was also an homage to the actress, which further added fuel to the rumour.

Now, Pavitra Jayaram’s son, Prajwal has opened up about this. He shared that relationships form with those people choose to hang out with. He added, “We and the industry know that Amma and Chandu are good friends.” He also stated that the media reported that the duo were planning to get married, but refuted all these claims.

As per reports, Chandrakanth’s body was found at home in Alkapur, Rangareddy District, Telangana, following the tragic demise of his Trinayani co-star. If the reports are to be believed, this is the same residence where he and Pavitra Jayaram resided together. Further, rumouredly, the untimely death of Pavitra Jayaram, where Chandrakanth was also present, left the Telugu actor shaken up.

As per Deccan Herald, Chandrakanth’s father Venkatesh shared that his son wanted to be with Pavithra. On Friday, the actor left for his home in Secunderabad and went to the flat. His friends tried to reach out to him, but the actor did not respond. When they reached the flat, allegedly, the actor was found dead. A case under section 174 CrPC has been registered for suspicious death at Narsingi Police Station.
