Los Angeles: It may have missed the deadline, but "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" might still make

an appearance at the Critics' Choice Awards.

In an unprecedented move, The Broadcast Film Critics Association has asked members if they'd have voted for the

film before the polls closed. If it gets the go ahead, the latest Star Wars sequel could be entered in the Best Picture category, according to The Wrap.

"Our purpose in presenting the Critics' Choice Awards is to celebrate the finest cinematic achievements of the year. It appears that many members believe The Force Awakens deserves to be included.

"In this unique situation, we think this is the best way to proceed."

The Critics' Choice Awards will take place on January 17, 2016. And for any judges who might be reading: "This is the film you're looking for."

What's your reaction?
