Beauty influencer Farah El Kadhi, who participated in the first series of Love Island Malta, has passed away after suffering a suspected heart attack while onboard a yacht. She was 36. Farah was reportedly holidaying on the European island of Malta when she suffered the heart attack on June 17, according to the Times of Malta and Malta Today.
Sources told the Times of Malta that Kadhi was rushed to the Mater Dei Hospital, where she sadly passed away. Soulayma Hneynia, a North African influencer who also appeared on Love Island Malta, paid a moving tribute to Farah in an Instagram Story post. Soulayma called her late friend a “truly wonderful person, known for her kindness, generosity, and warmth.”
Farah’s most recent Instagram post was shared on July 7. In the photo, which was taken in Mykonos, Farah donned a red and white kaftan dress. The caption read, “Les violettes sont bleues.. les roses sont rouges…”, which translates into English as “Violets are blue.. roses are red.”
Netizens flooded her last Instagram post with emotional tributes. One user said, “She just performed umrah in May. It’s like she’s a newborn baby with no sins. May paradise be your destiny.” Another one said, “No words May your memory be eternal.” “Rest in peace,” a third user said.
Local media reports suggest that Farah had no signs of injuries and had arrived in the country for a one-week holiday. An autopsy is likely to be conducted and a magisterial inquiry has been opened to find out her exact cause of death.
Farah, who worked as an architect for company Key Concept, was one of Tunisia’s most popular social media influencers. She had over 1.2 million followers on Instagram. She used her social media account to promote her fashion brand and other paid brand campaigns.
