Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga swept the awards at the big night of MTV European Music Awards 2016. While Beiber won the much expected Best Song and Best Fandom, Gaga won in Best Female and Best Look categories.
Despite being nominated for three awards including Best Female, British Singer Adele left empty handed although British success came from Coldplay who picked up the Best Rock award.
The star-studded night was hosted by Hey Mama singer Bebe Rexha.The EMA trophies got a twist of colour as they were all painted purple in the memory of iconic singer Prince.
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone presented the Best Video Award to The Weeknd, alongside XXX: Return of Xander Cage costar Nina Dobrev.
