Jio MAMI 2016: When Aishwarya Rai Made Newcomer Anushka Sharma Feel at Home
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil stars Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opposite Ranbir Kapoor and much to the disappointment of gossip writers, the two got along well on the sets.

Bollywood has always been brutal towards its leading actresses. It has been a long-standing notion that things have to go wrong when two talented beauties share the screen. However, Karan Johar defies this notion. His upcoming film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, stars Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opposite Ranbir Kapoor and much to the disappointment of gossip writers, the two got along well on the sets.

Alizeh (Anushka) and Saba (Aishwarya) have just one scene together in the film at a very crucial moment. Karan says, “The two actresses were in their different zones and there was no basis of any clash.”

During an interaction at Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, Anushka shared an incident from 2010.

Anushka says, “Aishwarya is a very warm person. She makes you feel good as she’s beautiful inside out.”

“I remember when I was just a couple of years old in the industry and Amitabh Bachchan called me to his suite for a party. I went there with my mother and was overwhelmed to see so many celebrities and Mr. Bachchan himself. It was Aishwarya who came upto me, offered me drinks and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the party.”

“She didn’t have to do that, but she did and it shows how warm she is as a person.

Recalling the incident Aishwarya says, “She (Anushka) was so shy and I didn’t want her to feel alone. She was there with her mother and wanted to make them comfortable like any good host would do."
