Thalapathy Vijay, one of the most celebrated actors in the South, is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming action film GOAT (Greatest of All Time). Helmed by Venkat Prabhu, the film also stars Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Sneha, Laija Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Jayaram in prominent roles. The Master actor will be seen portraying a double role in the film.
As the excitement for the film remains so high among the fans, actor Mohan, who will be sharing the screen space with Thalapathy Vijay in the film, in a recent interview, revealed the one thing he wants to learn from the Leo actor.
He said, “Vijay sir is the biggest actor chosen by the people. I got an opportunity to act with him. I would like to thank Venkat Prabhu and AGS (production house) for this. He is always a very calm person and I want to learn this thing from him.”
The shooting for GOAT is currently going on in full swing and will be completed soon. Reportedly Thalapathy Vijay has even completed 50 percent dubbing of the film.
Apart from acting, Vijay has also led his voice to two songs in GOAT. Film’s music composer, Yuvan Shankar Raja shared at a recent event, “For the first time, Thalapathy has sung two songs in this film.”
The first was the lyrical song titled Whistle Podu, which was released in April this year and received mixed responses from the fans. It was penned by Madhan Karky.
The lyrical video of the song featured Vijay shaking legs with Prabhudeva and Prasanth.
While the deets about Vijay’s second song is still under wraps. Earlier in April this year, director Venkat Prabhu revealed that the second single of GOAT will be released in June.
As Vijay will be celebrating his 50th birthday on June 22 this year, there is a high chance that the makers of GOAT will unveil the second track on his special day.
Apart from GOAT, Vijay has also showcased his singing prowess in films like Bombay City in Rasigan (1994), Thotta Petta in Vishnu (1995), O Baby in Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (1997) and others.
The Greatest of All Time is all set to hit the theatres on September 5.
