In a first, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday found mention in a speech by Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav who said he did not want to slap a case on the former, else he would have got Kejriwal arrested for making baseless remarks.

Speaking at a public rally in Gonda, 100 km from here, Mulayam Singh vented his ire on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader for including his name in the list of corrupt politicians.

"There is no case of graft against my name and this man is calling me corrupt. He thinks he is the sole honest man in the country," the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said.

He rued that the standard of politics had dropped so low in the country and asked how a person who had made his political debut only a few months ago dare say baseless things about senior politicians with a long history in politics.

"Ye samajhta hai ki wo akela imandaar hai, baki sab beimaan hain (He thinks he alone is a honest man and all others are corrupt)," the SP chief added.

A few weeks back Mulayam Singh had called AAP a "bubble that would burst soon".

Another minister in the state's SP government, Gayatri Prajapati, likened Kejriwal to a blind man who by fluke had won power.

What's your reaction?
