HYDERABAD: The Telangana Joint Action Committee has decided to intensify the movement in a big way by laying siege to Hyderabad and organising Vanta-Varpu at all district headquarters in the region. It has reiterated the deadline of June 25 set for Congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs to resign in deference to people's demand.TJAC's steering committee will meet in about two days to finalise the action plan. Proposals on a general strike and organising road and rail blockades and other protest programmes will be discussed at the meeting.Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, TJAC chairman M Kodandaram claimed that the Vanta-Varpu programme received a tremendous response.People of the twin cities came out onto roads and cooked their food voluntarily to register their protest against Centre's delay in making an announcement on creation of a separate state for the region. The response was good in the Old City also, he claimed.
