HYDERABAD: The Telangana Joint Action Committee has decided to organise rath yatras in all the ten districts in the Telangana region in an attempt to revive the movement for statehood to the region.Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday at the conclusion of the two-day meeting, TJAC chairman M Kodandaram said yatra would wend through all villages. "Telangana leaders would address as many as 400 public meetings and KCR will be addressing a couple of them," he said. The month-long Rath Yatra will be launched in the first week of February. "It will be followed by a huge public meeting in Hyderabad which will be attended by not less five lakh people," Kodandaram said.“The date of the public meeting is yet to be finalised but is likely to be the first week of March," he said. The TJAC leader lashed out at the Centre for turning a deaf ear to the demand for Telangana state though the Sakala Janula Samme had paralysed normal life in the entire Telangana belt. The movement was betrayed by people's representatives who were dancing attendance on Andhra and Rayalaseema leaders, he said. The TJAC took a serious exception to the witch-hunting of Telangana students, youth and employees for taking part in the agitation. "To protest against it, we will organise dharnas at collectors' offices on January 31. In the next two months, there will be resurgence of Telangana movement," Kodandram said.
