HYDERABAD/NEW DELHI: Telangana Congress MPs were in the national capital on Tuesday to meet congress general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and are likely to meet Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar on Wednesday to press acceptance of their resignations that they had submitted in July.It is learnt that the speaker’s office has given them an appointment at 5 pm Wednesday.The MPs -- who included Ponnam Prabhakar, G Vivekananda, K Rajgopal Reddy, G Sukhendar Reddy, Madhu Goud Yashki, Balaram Nayak, S Rajaiah -- also met Union minister S Jaipal Reddy and said they have no option but to seek acceptance of their resignations.As usual, Japial Reddy is said to have advised them not to be hasty.Warangal MP S Rajaiah told Express the MP have decided to meet the Lok Sabha speaker to settle the issue. He said the Congress high command has speeded up internal discussions on the Telangana demand and the party would take decision in a week.He said that in view of the prevailing Sakala Janula Samme, chief minster Kiran Kumar Reddy and Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu should take the initiative to take a decision to resolve the Telangana issue.
