SABARIMALA: Special security arrangements, including deployment of adequate number of police personnel, will be made for the pilgrims at 20-odd locations spread over Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts on the Makaravilakku day.Addressing mediapersons at the Sannidhanam Devaswom Guest House on Wednesday, Sabarimala police coordinator K Padmakumar said that adequate security measures and other facilities for the pilgrims would be taken at 20 identified locations, including Pulmedu, Parunthumpara and Panchalimedu, where the Makarajyothi would be visible.Padmakumar said that sufficient number of police personnel, proper lighting system, including Astralight working on battery, and public address system would be deployed on the locations. Padmakumar said that moving patrolling system would be set up on the traditional forest route of Azhuthakadavu-Karimala-Valiyanavattom.
