THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Saudi Arabian Ambassador Saghr Sulaiman Qureshi has said that his country is actively considering the prospect of opening its consulate in Kerala.  He made it clear in a meeting held with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Tuesday.  The Ambassador also informed that workers would be recruited through Norka-ROOTS. Norka-ROOTS will issue ID cards to avoid the delay in certificate attestation in Saudi consulates. The Saudi team visiting the state said that they were interested in purchasing Indian made goods for Saudi Petroleum company Aramco. To discuss this, Kerala Government will send a delegation to Saudi Arabia. Ministers P K Kunhalikutty, K C Joseph, V S Sivakumar, V K Ebrahim Kunju and K Babu attended the meeting.
