Qazi held for forced marriages

HYDERABAD: A Qazi, who performs nikaah for Muslims, was arrested by Bhavani Nagar police for allegedly forcing young Muslim girls belonging to poor families to marry Arab sheikhs on Monday.Santosh Nagar assistant commissioner of  police AS Mohammed Ismail said Sadar Qazi alias Abid Rafa (53),  confessed to the crime. He said he was involved in performing marriages of Arab sheikhs with poor Muslim girls, the ACP added.
