Starring: Manoramma, Anushka, Suriya Prakash Raj, Vivek; Direction: Hari; Music: Devi Sri Prasad; Production: BIG Pictures.
The lion is all set to growl this Friday. Singam has been in the news ever since Hari (the director) announced plans to rope in Suriya for the role.
Suriya is on a roll, churning out blockbuster after another, hence no stone would have been left unturned for his 25th ambitious venture.
Suriya is donning the role of an upright police officer Duraisingam, obviously daring and outspoken (seen from the promos already on air).
The female lead is played by the Anushka, who is soaring high from the success of Arundithi and Vetaikaren – all set to make a mark with Singam.
Public expectations are high as Suriya is donning the khaki after his pathbreaking film Kakha Kakha with director Gautham Menon.
Hari is know for his action oriented films. His earlier film Samy was a stepping for Vikram to attain action king status at the box office.
Backed by biggie BIG Pictures, this is surely a big film to look forward to. Another USP of the film is that Singam is cited to have the longest climax post interval (1.5 hours) and Hari has promised an edge-of-the-seat film in the second half.
Devi Sri Prasad’s music is already topping the charts. With summer holidays coming to an end and schools reopening, Singam sure will need word of mouth publicity to roar.
