Thane: Maharashtra Police arrested five people on Sunday afternoon for allegedly possessing beef in Ambernath, Thane.

According to police, they found some quantity of beef in a shed in Ambernath and a dead bullock.

The Meat has been sent for a forensic test to ascertain if it is beef.

All five of them are expected to be produced in the court in a short while.

Yusuf Shaikh, one of the five people arrested, is the owner of the shed where the meat was found and also a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Leader.
