Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday directed authorities to ensure there were no power cuts during Sunday's India-Pakistan cricket match in the Asia Cup tournament.
Gilani directed the Water and Power Ministry not to resort to power cuts during the live telecast of the India-Pakistan match, officials said.

Pakistan is grappling with a severe energy shortage and authorities have resorted to power cuts across the country.
There are power cuts of over 12 hours in some rural areas and even cities like Islamabad go without electricity for four to five hours every day.
