New Delhi: Nine persons suffered burn injuries on Thursday when a fire broke out at a market in Shapurjat area in south Delhi.
Fire brigade officials said the fire broke out around 8 pm at the basement of a shopping complex and it engulfed a tailoring shop and boutique.
"Nine people sustained injuries in the fire," an official said, adding all of them were taken to a nearby hospital.
Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
"The fire has been brought under control within one hour," the said. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
