The Central University of Bihar (CUB) is finally set to expand from the new session starting August 13 in Gaya. The university will have its permanent location on defence land allocated by the centre. CUB has decided to start four new integrated graduate programmes in Gaya. The courses include BSc (Honours) with LLB, an integrated five-year programme, BA with BEd and BSc with BEd. The admission process as well as recruitment has been completed.
Patna: Students take oath to protect environment
Students of DAV Public School, BSEB Colony, took pledge to protect and conserve the environment at an oath-taking event organised by the department of environment and forests on the eve of “Bihar Prithvi Diwas”. The day is celebrated across the state on August 9. The guests emphasised on the need to save the environment and protect the earth.
Patna: Campus placement begins at NIT begins
Placements of final year students have begun in National Institute of Technology, Patna (NIT-P). Three companies, Mu Sigma, Verizon and Mahindra and Mahindra visited the campus to recruit students. Mu Sigma and Verizon have recruited about 14 students offering a good package. The interviews of Mahindra and Mahindra are going on.

Patna to have a new private hospital
A new private hospital, promoted by an UK based company will soon come up at Beldari Chowk on Patna-Gaya road. The hospital will have 900 beds and is expected that within five years, the hospital will be completed. CM Nitish Kumar will be laying the foundation of the hospital on August 17.
