CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed authorities of the TN Housing Board (TNHB) to maintain status quo with regard to the transfer of three officebearers of TNHB Labour Progressive Union, affiliated to the DMK.Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar granted the injunction while passing interim orders on three writ petitions from Ashok Kumar, Y Joseph Rajaseelan and P Suriyamoorthy, on Monday.The petitioners alleged that after the AIADMK came to power, the transfer orders were passed. The orders, politically motivated, were passed for extraneous reasons, they contended. The first petitioner was transferred from Chennai to Ramanathapuram, the second from Tirunelveli to Chennai and the third one from Chennai to Salem, by orders dated June 21 last.
