BHUBANESWAR: The State Election Commission (SEC) is likely to hold polls for Kendrapara Municipal Council during the last quarter of the year.At the all-party meeting convened by the SEC to review preparation for the ensuing three-tier panchayat polls, it was informed that the polls for the Kendrapara ULB are being planned during October-November. The meeting was chaired by SEC Ajit Kumar Tripathy.The parties requested the Commission to supply them with soft copies of the voters list and ensure that no voter is kept out of the electoral roll. Tripathy also informed the parties about the reservation list published by the Panchayati Raj Department.Both Nayagarh and Keonjhar districts will have a panchayat more for the ensuing polls while Jajpur and Keonjhar have added four and five panchayats respectively. There are 87,551 ward member, 6,237 sarpanch, 6,237 panchayat samiti and 854 zilla parishad posts in the State.
