Jaipur: A 30-year-old man was booked on the charge of raping a married woman after luring her into live-in relationship for the last three years on the pretext of a job and marriage, police said on Thursday.
In an FIR lodged with Pratap Nagar police station on Wednesday on the direction of the local court, the 30-year-old victim alleged that Ravi Yadav, who worked in a private firm, assured her of marriage and a job if she moved with him from Lalsot village near Jaipur, they said.
As the victim's husband - a drunkard - couldn't take care of the family, she left him and her three children for Yadav who brought her to Jaipur and started living together, police said.
Last month, the accused fled with Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and gold jewellery belonging to the victim, the police said .
A case under various Sections of the IPC including 376 (rape) was lodged against the accused, they said adding that hunt is on for the absconding accused.
