KOCHI: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan on Tuesday filed an application in the Kerala High Court requesting it to examine the progress of the reinvestigation in the Ice cream Parlour case, ordered following the revelations by Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty’s brother-in-law K A Rauf.Achuthanandan had already filed a petition seeking CBI probe on the basis of the disclosure.The High Court had earlier decided to monitor the investigation by refusing a plea for a CBI probe. The state government had assured that the investigation by the Special Team would be completed within three months.Considering this, the court adjourned the case to December 22. However, Achuthanandan pointed out in his latest application that it would be apt for the court to examine the progress of the investigation since it was monitoring the case.
