Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Central University continues to remain on the boil, even as classes are set to resume on Monday. A joint action committee has called for nationwide boycott of classes in protest against police brutality on campus.
Five students were arrested on campus last week after protests broke out demanding the ouster of University vice chancellor Apparao. The bail order of the students is slated to come up for hearing on Monday.
This comes even as the Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission sought a report from the Hyderabad Central University V-C in response to a petition alleging violation of human rights of students on the campus.
Meanwhile, with University gates blocked for outsiders, the students at the Hyderabad Central University off late turned to social media to voice their opinion. The students recorded videos of protests inside the campus and uploaded them on internet.
They narrated their experiences of police crackdown in campus and exposed the brutality of University administration and police inside campus.
