KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Thursday directed the KSEB to appoint a senior officer to ensure uninterrupted power supply to Sabarimala during the pilgrimage season. The Devaswom Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice C T Ravikumar also asked to take necessary steps to prevent frequent power failures in Sabarimala. The KSEB submitted that the HC had earlier stayed the implementation of a project for setting up a sub-station for power supply to Sabarimala. This is one of the hurdles faced by the KSEB in solving the issue. Meanwhile, the court directed the Travancore Devaswom Board to submit a report on the repair works of Nilackal Ring Road. The TDB chief engineer submitted that the repair work of the entry-exit of the road had been completed and the remaining stretch will be completed within two days.
