Ghai's olive branch to Nagesh Kukunoor
Subhash Ghai and Nagesh Kukunoor have buried their hatchet and come together again for the film Bombay to Bangkok.

Mumbai: As they say in Bollywood, there are no permanent foes, just as there are no permanent friendships. Filmmakers Subhash Ghai and Nagesh Kukunoor came together for Iqbal but soon parted ways.

Nagesh went ahead and made Dor, which did reasonably well at the box office, with Sahara One Entertainment. The movie was also a timely reminder to Ghai that Kukunoor could survive in this industry without the Mukta Arts banner.

However, now the duo have decided to bury the hatchet and have come together for Bombay to Bangkok, which is being touted as a light-hearted romantic comedy.

“I fight a lot with Nagesh Kukunoor so that means I love him very much,” Subhash Ghai quipped.

Ghai acknowledged their differences in the past but at the same time made it evident that their warring days were over.

Bombay to Bangkok will try to re-create the success of Iqbal but in a different genre. This is evident from the fact that practically the entire crew of Iqbal has come together for this venture.

The music will be composed by Salim-Suleiman, the cinematographer and editor also remains the same – Sudeep Chatterjee and Sanjib Dutta respectively. Moreover, actor Shreyas Talpade plays the lead once again.

The Thai Consul General in Mumbai has also extended their support to the film and have promised to assist the crew with permissions and sanctions for shooting in Bangkok.
