Five of a family found dead

NILAMBUR: Five persons of a family were found dead at Poovathypoyil near Vazhikadavu on Saturday morning. Punathyl Saithalavi, 45, his wife Haseena,37, their children Mohseena,11, Ansari,8, and Afsaf, 5, are the deceased.The body of Saithalavi was found hanging from a tree in the house compound while four others were found hacked to death inside the house. Police doubt that Saithalavi committed suicide after murdering his wife and children.According to police, Saithalavi was suffering from some psychic problems. It is believed that the murders were executed on Friday night. But, the neighbours could not get any clue due to the heavy rain.One of their neighbours, Sunitha, found Saithalavi’s body on Saturday morning. Saithalavi was a hotel employee and he had left the job one week ago.Haseena was meeting the needs of the family doing odd jobs. The family had been in Kudaku before moving to Poovathypoyil 12 years ago.
