Shopkeepers evicted during a demolition drive to speed up Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway project will be allotted shops at an upcoming shopping mall in Chhijarsi area, Noida Authority chairman Rama Raman has said.
"A three-storeyed shopping complex will be constructed along the FNG in Chhijarsi and these shops will be allotted to those villagers whose abadi land shops were demolished for FNG project," Raman assured the villagers during a visit to Chhijarsi area here on Saturday.
The Authority chairman said FNG project is "priority" and all hurdles will be cleared after discussion with villagers wherever obstructions are witnessed.
The Authority has been out on a demolition drive since the past one month and several encroachments along FNG alignments have been razed.
However, some villagers had complained that their lands were not unauthorized yet their shops constructed on abadi land has been demolished by the Authority.
Raman visited Sector-61 and met residents there. He directed officers to repair broken pavements in the area and also asked them to resolve issues plaguing the residents within a week's time.
