Educational programmes through community radio

KOZHIKODE: Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb will inaugurate the transmission of educational programmes through community radio service, a unique initiative of the State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) at a function to be held at Tharuvanna Government High School, Wayanad on January 10. This was announced by SIET Director Babu Sebastian. The project will impart classes to school children through FM radio in rural and tribal areas of the state. As the first step, SIET will transmit classes in the tribal areas of Wayanad district through Radio Mattoli 90.4 FM. The institute will impart study classes on all subjects from Standard VIII to XII  in Malayalam language.
