DMK MLA's Son Among 7 Killed as Audi Q3 Hits Building in Bengaluru's Koramangala; Cops Say 'Airbags Didn't Open'
Audi Q3 Koramangala Accident: Local reports said that 23-year-old Karuna Sagar was the son of DMK MLA Y Prakash, who represents Hosur constituency in Tamil Nadu.

DMK MLA Y Prakash?s son Karuna Sagar and six others were killed on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday when the Audi Q3 car they were travelling in hit a building in Bengaluru?s Koramangala area. While six were killed on the spot, one succumbed to injuries in a hospital, an official said.

The deceased have been identified as Karuna Sagar, Bindu (both 23), Akshay Goyal from Kerala, Utsav from Haryana, Rohit from Hubballi, Ishita and Dr Djanush (21). The official said that the incident occurred around 1:30 am when the driver lost control and the vehicle went over the footpath before hitting the compound wall of a bank.

?The SUV hit the wall with such intensity and speed that it was completely damaged. Though it was meant to seat five persons, there were seven people in the vehicle. The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras in the area,? The Hindu quoted a police officer as saying.

Local reports said that Sagar was the son of DMK MLA Y Prakash, who represents Hosur constituency in Tamil Nadu. Hosur lies on the border with Bengaluru.

Times Now quoted Audugodi traffic police as saying that the vehicle?s airbags failed to open, resulting in the deaths of all passengers.
