UPSC CSE 2023 Result: Aishwaryam Prajapati of Uttar Pradesh has secured the All India Rank of 10 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 on her second attempt. After the release of UPSC results, Aishwaryam said that becoming an IAS was her childhood dream. “My goal has been very clear since class 10th,” she told News18.
Originally from Maharajganj, UP, Aishwaryam studied till class 12th at Rani Lakshmibai Senior Secondary School. After this, she did her BTech from NIT Uttarakhand (2016-20 batch).
Talking about preparing for UPSC, she said that hard work and patience were required to complete this journey. When asked about any advice for students preparing for UPSC, she said they should do what they like. “This will give you the necessary inspiration in this journey,” she said.
Talking about the strategy behind her UPSC success, Aishwaryam said that it is not about the number of hours spent on studies but about the kind of learning taking place. Study is important, not counting hours, she said, adding that strategy is also important. She said that apart from notes, newspapers, practice answer writing, and books were of great help.
Aishwaryam completed her BTech from NIT Uttarakhand. After that, she also got a job at L&T where she worked for 18 months. She further says that she was always confident about cracking UPSC but didn’t even think that she would get 10th rank. “Now this is a pleasant surprise. I am very happy,” she said.
The UPSC CSE 2023 results were announced on April 16. A total of 1016 have been recommended for appointment while the candidature of 355 recommended candidates has been kept provisional. Of the total selected, 347 candidates are from the general category, 115 are from EWS, 303 are from OBC, 165 are from SC, and 86 are from ST categories. Aditya Srivastava from UP has topped the exam followed by Animesh Pradhan who has secured the rank 2, and Donuru Ananya Reddy who has secured rank 3.
