The FIR alleges that he has taken over forest land in Shimoga.
Bangalore: A disproportionate assets case against BJP MP and former Karntaka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa returns to haunt him, with the Karnataka High Court telling a trial court in Shimoga to go ahead with its trial against him.
A local magistrate court had quashed the First Information Report (FIR) lodged against him accusing him of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The FIR alleges that he has taken over forest land in Shimoga. However, the trial court had dismissed the FIR, saying required sanctions and approvals had not been taken to file a case against him. However, the Karnataka High Court has ruled against the quashing, and asked the magistrate to take up this case afresh.
