BHUBANESWAR: Global Hospitals on Tuesday announced that it would be providing out- patient and consultation services on minimal invasive technique in surgeries in the city. Dr AGK Gokhale of Global Hospitals, Hyderabad, will be here on first Saturday of every month for patients’ consultation. “There is no need of making a huge incision in the body for the surgery to be executed. And there are lesser chances of infection and also the incisions are cosmetic and do not leave a scar,” Gokhale said while trying to explain the benefits of this technique. Another huge benefit would be the recovery period, the patient needs only three weeks of rest. They can start driving their vehicles at the end of three weeks. They can not afford three months rest period if they get operated on in the traditional mode. This form of surgery has 98 per cent success rate, he added.
