CM seeks report on expelled Das

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has asked the Home Department to submit a detailed report on the activities of expelled Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Ashwini Das and identify his godfathers in the party.Das was recently arrested by the Vigilance at Cuttack while accepting a bribe of ` 1.20 lakh from a CESU executive engineer. Sources said the expelled BJD leader had free access to the chambers of many ministers. The Home Department is also inquiring how he was able to get a Secretariat pass and who had recommended it.Sources said the recommendation for the pass had gone from the office of Minister of State for School and Mass Education, Pratap Jena.
