BJP seeks CBI probe into Jalayagnam

HYDERABAD: The BJP has demanded a CBI probe into the EPC system used to allot works under Jalayagnam during the tenure of YS Rajasekhara Reddy as chief minister.Party spokesman NVVS Prabhakar said on Tuesday that the government had awarded 40 projects worth `60,000 crore under EPC.Though there were demands for a inquiry into the issue, no one had bothered then.He expressed dismay over the CM saying that he would review allotment of works under EPC and call for fresh tenders for the projects.
