Bara Imambara embroiled in controversy over Shia Waqf Board elections

Supporters of Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad have locked up the heritage site and claimed that the Bhool Bhulaiya and Chhota Imambara are not meant for tourism.

They are protesting the results of the Waqf Board elections in which Uttar Pradesh Minister Azam Khan's aide Syed Waseem Rizvi was elected chief for the fourth time.
